“Noting that China and Singapore are friendly neighbors and important partners, Li said that under the strategic guidance of their leaders, the traditional friendship between China and Singapore has been continuously deepened since the establishment of diplomatic relations 35 years ago, with bilateral relations enhanced and practical cooperation achieving fruitful results. He said that China is willing to work with Singapore to uphold the traditions of mutual respect and trust, equality and mutual benefits, while maintaining close high-level exchange, enhancing strategic communication, and consolidating political mutual trust. Li said that China stands ready to make full use of its bilateral cooperation mechanism with Singapore, implement their cooperation plan for the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and expand and strengthen flagship cooperation projects. China is also ready to increase the scale of two-way trade and investment, actively expand cooperation in third-party markets, and foster new cooperative initiatives in areas such as the digital economy, the green economy, artificial intelligence, smart cities and ocean energy. He called on the two countries to strengthen exchange in education, culture, tourism and media, and to adhere to open regionalism and true multilateralism, actively promote the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment, and maintain the stability and smooth operations of global industrial and supply chains. The report adds that the two sides inked deals covering “talent cultivation, intellectual property rights, third-party cooperation and so on.”
Next, there’s a report on the 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC. This focussed on “further deepening economic system reform and promoting Chinese-style modernisation.” The report says that He Lifeng presented a report at the meeting.

Page 2: There’s a report (English report) informing that Li Qiang has signed a State Council decree unveiling rules to regulate internet platform companies’ submission of tax-related information. The full text of this regulation is available on the page. The key point is that internet platform companies are required to submit the identity information of operators and employees, as well as income data for the previous quarter, to their respective tax authorities within one month following the end of each quarter.
There’s also a Q&A with officials from the Ministry of Justice and State Administration of Taxation on the page, discussing this new regulation. The key question is about the significance of this change. The official says:
The issuance of the Regulations holds important significance for improving the governance mechanism of the platform economy, regulating the tax order within the platform economy, and promoting the standardised, healthy, and sustainable development of the platform economy. First, it is conducive to promoting fairness under tax law. The Regulations will promote platform operators and workers to declare and pay taxes in accordance with the law, creating a fair and unified tax environment both online and offline. Pilots conducted by the State Administration of Taxation in some provinces and cities in the early stage show that the tax burden of the vast majority of operators and practitioners within platforms will not increase due to information reporting, while operators with circumstances such as concealing income will have their tax burden return to normal levels, which is the proper meaning of tax fairness. Second, it is conducive to the standardised, healthy, and sustainable development of the platform economy. The Regulations help promote coordinated governance among departments, facilitate timely and effective supervision of improper business practices within platforms, and more promptly identify improper behaviors such as ‘involution-style’ competition on platforms and false ‘order brushing’ to fraudulently obtain traffic. This will promote compliant operations, orderly competition, and healthy development among various internet-based business entities, and better protect the legitimate rights and interests of platform operators, workers, and consumers. Next, there’s a report on remarks by Politburo member Li Hongzhong, who is also a member of the NPCSC, at an event marking the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the National Security Law. “He stressed that we must thoroughly study and understand the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on national security work, implement the overall national security concept, promote the high-level implementation of the National Security Law from a new starting point, improve the national security legal system, and provide strong security guarantees for Chinese-style modernisation.” 他强调,要深入学习领会习近平总书记关于国家安全工作的重要论述精神,贯彻落实总体国家安全观,在新的起点上推动国家安全法高水平实施,完善国家安全法治体系,为中国式现代化提供坚强安全保障.
“Li Hongzhong pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, China’s national security work in the new era has achieved historic accomplishments and undergone historic transformations; national security has been comprehensively strengthened, embarking on a path of national security with Chinese characteristics. The changes to the Anti-unfair Competition Law reportedly includes provisions to better regulate unfair competition in cyberspace. “The latest draft includes new provisions regarding a fair competition review system with improved regulations to address the ‘rat race’ competition among different online platforms. It also stipulates the obligations of platform operators to deal with unfair competition behavior among businesses operating on their platforms. Moreover, the draft specifies the responsibilities of market regulatory authorities in combating unfair competition. According to Huang, the draft outlines the criteria for identifying unfair competition practices such as violations of data interests and bad-faith transactions, and eyes solutions to issues such as large enterprises abusing their relative dominant market position to delay payments to small businesses. The current anti-unfair competition law was enacted in 1993 and has been amended twice, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. The legislators reviewed a draft revision to the law at a session in December last year.”
The revisions to the Civil Aviation Law intend to “boost the development of the low-altitude economy.” Xinhua reports:
“Key revisions include the introduction of state measures to optimize low-altitude airspace resource allocation and the promotion of an integrated service supervision platform for civilian low-altitude flights, according to Huang. The changes seek to build regulatory frameworks for airworthiness certification and flight management specifically tailored to support low-altitude economic activities, while expanding practical application scenarios. The latest draft adds a dedicated chapter for aviation development and promotion, outlining strategies to advance civilian aviation manufacturing through enterprise-led innovation systems combining industry, academia, and research. Additionally, the legislation highlights optimizing national airport networks and accelerating aviation hub construction. In response to growing public concern over airline service standards, the amendment strengthens consumer safeguards. The draft obligates airlines and airports to provide sound food and accommodation arrangements for passengers during significant flight delays or cancellations, formalizing legal protections against service disruptions. The latest revision draft builds upon an initial review conducted in February 2025, incorporating feedback to modernize aviation governance amid rapid technological advancements and evolving market demands.”
Page 3: There’s a report on Wang Yi’s meeting with Indian NSA Ajit Doval. The Chinese readout says:
“Wang Yi said that last October, President Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister Modi in Kazan and reached an important consensus on improving bilateral relations. Recently, bilateral relations have made some positive progress; the two sides need to further strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust, and work hard to solve practical problems. Only when the dragon and the elephant dance together can there be a win-win situation. China and India should adhere to the important consensus of ‘being development opportunities for each other and not posing a threat to each other’ and ‘being partners rather than rivals’, adhere to the direction of good-neighbourliness and friendship, strive for a mutually beneficial and win-win prospect, demonstrate the historical wisdom of the two ancient civilisations, properly handle sensitive issues, and maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas. Doval said that the important consensus reached by the leaders of India and China has pointed out the direction for the development of bilateral relations. The strategic goals of India and China are consistent, and focusing on development is the top priority of each country. The two sides should view bilateral relations from a long-term and strategic perspective, understand and tolerate each other, and expand common interests. Taking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity, we should promote practical cooperation in various fields, properly handle border issues, and jointly maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas. The Indian readout says:

Views were also exchanged on other bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. NSA noted that he looked forward to meeting with Mr. Wang Yi in India at a mutually convenient date for the 24th round of the Special Representative (SR) Talks.”
Also on the page is a report on Wang’s meeting with Tony Blair. Xinhua says:

“Blair said that attempts to isolate China are doomed to fail as the world needs greater understanding of China, noting that the two sides should strengthen dialogue at government levels and across social sectors, while conducting extensive mutually beneficial cooperation to achieve sustained and sound bilateral development.”
“On the Israel-Iran conflict, Wang said that differences between countries should be resolved peacefully through dialogue and consultation, noting that Israel’s preemptive strike on Iran on the grounds of ‘potential future threats’ and U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency sent a wrong signal to the world by advocating force over dialogue in resolving disputes, and set a dangerous precedent with significant consequences. ‘All parties to the conflict are urged to take measures to de-escalate tensions and return to negotiations for political settlement to restore peace and stability in the Middle East,’ Wang added. Blair said that Britain is deeply concerned about the Israel-Iran conflict and calls for diplomatic engagement through dialogue to swiftly return to negotiations, achieving a prompt recovery to the regional peace, security, and stability.”

Fakhrul said that Bangladesh values its friendship with China, abides by the one-China principle, and is willing to deepen inter-party exchange and promote mutually beneficial cooperation.”
Page 4: There’s a report on the remarks by the Taiwan Affairs Office on Lai Ching-te’s ‘Ten Lectures on National Unity’ tour. On Sunday, Lai delivered his first address. Here’s a snippet of Taiwanese coverage of Lai’s speech.
“Lai delivered the first of his ‘10 Talks on the Country’ in New Taipei on Sunday afternoon. The speaking tour, aimed at addressing the challenges facing Taiwan and outlining the government’s responses, will take the president to cities and counties across Taiwan. In the speech, Lai referenced the Treaty of San Francisco to emphasise that "Taiwan has never belonged to the People's Republic of China" and that "the PRC has never ruled Taiwan for even a single day.”
From the PRC, Chen Binhua, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said that the speech was “full of lies and deceptions, deliberately distorted and fragmented history, blatantly peddled the fallacies of ‘Taiwan independence’ and attempted to create grounds to concoct an ‘independence’ narrative.”
Chen accused Lai of “tampering” with history; “deliberately distorting the history of Taiwan and disregarded the fact that successive Chinese governments have governed the island.” Xinhua’s report adds:
Lai ignored how compatriots from Taiwan and the mainland have worked together to resist foreign aggression and realise Taiwan’s return to the motherland, and his failure to acknowledge this has betrayed the patriotic legacy and the sacrifices of Taiwan’s people and martyrs, the spokesperson noted. In his address, Lai willfully misinterpreted UNGA Resolution 2758 and claimed that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are ‘not subordinate to each other’, which presented an open challenge to the authority of international law, Chen said. Lai also promoted the ‘mainland threat’, obstructing exchange and cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, which goes entirely against the will of the public, Chen stated. Chen stressed that all historical, factual and legal evidence demonstrates that Taiwan has been an inalienable part of China since ancient times, and that the island has never been a state. The one-China principle is a basic norm in international relations and represents the prevailing consensus of the international community, Chen added.”
Also in the paper today is a commentary on the speech bylined Zhong Yiping. The article says that Lai “wantonly spread ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist rhetoric and hyped up the escalation of a ‘new two-state theory’. His speech was filled with all kinds of factual errors, historical fallacies, and twisted logic and evil arguments; it was highly provocative and extremely harmful. It is a naked ‘Taiwan independence’ manifesto that incites cross-strait opposition and confrontation, once again demonstrating Lai Ching-te’s ignorance and madness, once again exposing his incorrigible ‘Taiwan independence’ nature and ugly face, and confirming his role as a ‘troublemaker’, ‘danger-maker’, and ‘war-maker’. 近日,赖清德展开所谓“团结国家十讲”第一场演讲,大肆散布“台独”分裂言论,炒作升级“新两国论”。其演讲中充斥各种事实错误、历史谬误、歪理邪说,挑衅强、危害大,是一篇赤裸裸煽动两岸对立对抗的“台独”宣言,再次展现了赖清德的无知与疯狂,再次暴露了其冥顽不化的“台独”本性和丑恶嘴脸,坐实其为“麻烦制造者”“危险制造者”“战争制造者”.
No matter how fallacies are beautified, they remain fallacies; no matter how lies are packaged, they remain lies. Clumsily appropriating the ‘four elements of statehood theory’, tampering with Taiwan’s history and ethnic origins, erasing the achievements of World War II victory, challenging the international order, deliberately misinterpreting UN General Assembly Resolution 2758…Lai Ching-te either disregards facts, or manipulates concepts, or takes the part for the whole, putting great ‘effort’ into distortion and deception. But no matter how scheming, no matter how eloquent, in the face of history, reality, and legal principles, his true form will be exposed and full of loopholes. Taiwan has belonged to China since ancient times, with clear historical context and clear legal facts; the One China principle, as an international consensus, is deeply rooted in people’s hearts and is beyond dispute. Lai Ching-te’s attempt to mislead cognition and create confrontation is nothing more than talking to himself and self-deception, and he will ultimately bring shame and destruction upon himself. 谬论再怎么美化也是谬论,谎言再怎么包装也是谎言。蹩脚套用“国家四要素说”、篡改台湾历史和民族起源,抹杀二战胜利成果,挑战国际秩序,故意曲解联大第2758号决议……赖清德或罔顾事实、或偷换概念、或以偏概全,在歪曲、欺骗方面下足了“功夫”。但再怎么处心积虑,再怎么巧舌如簧,在历史、现实和法理面前也会原形毕露、漏洞百出。台湾自古属于中国,历史经纬清晰、法理事实清楚;一个中国原则作为国际共识,深入人心、毫无争议。赖清德妄图误导认知、制造对抗,不过是自说自话、自我陶醉,终究是自取其辱、自取灭亡.
Lai Ching-te is full of lies and fallacies, harbouring ‘evil intentions’ and sinister intentions. His painstaking fabrication is nothing more than engaging in political struggle under the guise of ‘unity’, with the aim of personally initiating a ‘mass recall’, conducting a ‘mass purge’ of opposition forces, a ‘mass investigation’ of society, continuing the strategy of ‘green terror to seek independence’, and wantonly grabbing political self-interest.
