Firstly, my apologies for skipping out on today’s edition of the People’s Daily. Unfortunately, I had a busy morning, with other commitments taking over.

There’s a long article by Yang Jiechi in today’s paper for anyone interested. I’ll summarise the article in tomorrow’s edition of the newsletter.

But for today, I have a special podcast to share. Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting Australia’s Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Tim Watts for Takshashila’s All Things Policy podcast. We talked about Australia’s view of the Indo-Pacific, it’s relationships with China, the US and India, and had a fairly robust discussion on the future of the Quad.
