Hi folks, Before, I get on with today’s edition, I’m doing a breakdown of the Central Economic Work Conference readout which was published in Saturday’s People’s Daily. The big takeaway from the readout was that stability is really important for the next year. This isn’t really surprising. It’s a politically important year, and there have been several hints that stability would be prioritised next year. The other key takeaway for me was that development continues to be priority. I’ve been highlighting this for a while amid all the discussion on common prosperity. There have been numerous hints dropped that while the leadership wants to take steps to address the limitations and negative externalities of the existing development model.
